Review Tenses 3 (Future Simple / Be going to))

Future Simple (I will work / Will he work? / The won't work) is used for PREDICTIONS (προβλέψεις), WILLINGNESS (προθυμία), SUDDEN DECISIONS (ξαφνική απόφαση), PERSONAL OPINION (προσωπική γνώμη) especially with the expressions I THINK, I BELIEVE, IN MY OPINION, ...

BE GOING TO + VERB (I'm going to work / Is he going to work / They are going to work) is for LOGICAL PREDICTIONS (λογική πρόβλεψη - που κάπου στηρίζεται), and PLANS / INTENTIONS (σχεδια / προθέσεις = πράξεις που έχουμε αποφασίσει να πραγματοποιήσουμε)

Review of Tenses 2 (Present Perfect - Past Simple)

Present Perfect (I have finished / Has he finished ? / They haven't finished) : is used for experiences we have already have or  haven't had yet.
OR : for activities that started time ago and haven't finished yet (already, just, yet, since, for,...)

Past simpleI played / Did he play? / She didn't play :  is used for activities we did in the past. They are finished and completed (yesterday, last Monday/week/month/year, when..., in 2000, etc)

Grammar: Relatives (who, which, that, where)

 BS_5B

That is the man who invented graffiti.
This is the woman who stole our car!

This is the book which I borrowed from the library.
That is the car which I want to buy.

That is the dog which bit me!
That was the puppy that I wanted to take home!

Kalamata is the place where I live.
Oxford is the University where I want to study!

Unit 5 Grammar: Modal Verbs

Θυμηθείτε! Τα modals (must, can, could, should, ...) ακολουθούνται πάντα από ένα άλλο ρήμα στην αρχική του μορφή (χωρίς να κλίνεται!)
π.χ.: John must study all the vocabulary.
Mark should eat all her food!
Maria may come to the party, but I'm not sure.

MUST = πρέπει
MUSTN'T = απαγορεύεται
CAN = μπορώ
COULD = μπορούσα
SHOULD = θα έπρεπε (συμβουλή!!)
SHOULDN'T = δεν θά' πρεπε (συμβουλή ή κριτική!)
MAY = ίσως, πιθανόν

Το SHOULD (θα έπρεπε) / SHOULDN'T  (δεν θα έπρεπε) τα χρησιμοποιούμε για συμβουλές!
To MAY (ίσως) χρησιμοποιείται όταν δεν είμαστε σίγουροι για κάτι.
